Every spring the forest around our place is covered in spring flowers for several weeks. I love walking our trail in the woods taking pictures of them. My favourites of course are the trilliums, I remember seeing them on Girl Guide hikes when I was younger and I've never grown tired of their beauty. I thought I'd share some of the photos I took this spring. These are all native woodland flowers that grow naturally in our hardwood forest.
Trout lily complete with little white spider
Columbine, the hummingbirds love them
Red trillium, we have very few of these, less than a dozen.
