Mt Orford

Eric and I stayed at a bed & breakfast called Peccadilles on the other side of Montreal in Eastman Quebec. We were with his parents Friday night and his brother Nic, his girlfriend Annick, and her parents Saturday night.

Eric's parents have been coming here once a summer for the past five years and this year they invited us to join them. We had beautiful sunny weather the entire weekend. Friday we arrived late afternoon, it took us about five hours to get there with having to drive through Montreal. The B&B is run by a couple from France, a teacher and a chef. You have the option to purchase dinner which was delicious, I can't remember eating so well. He was kind enough to make vegetarian meals for me.

Eric and I went hiking in Mt Orford provincial park on Saturday, it was only a ten minute drive from the B&B. We hiked up Mt Orford which was a difficult hike listed as strenuous in the park brochure.

View from one of the lookouts on the Sentier des cretes trail, views like this make the climb worthwhile

Standing on a huge boulder at another lookout. Camera pack in front.

At the Pic de la roche fendue lookout point. We climb over to the summit shown here.

Another gorgeous view from one of the lookouts.
