Fun run for pets

About a month ago Eric mentioned that he was thinking of organizing a 10km run and donating the proceeds to the Arnprior & District Humane Society where I volunteer every Saturday as a dog walker.
It sounded like a great idea so I offered to help with adding it to his website, making signs etc. We decided that we would host the event at our place, Eric would come up with a route in the Kinburn countryside, and we would host a bbq where we donated the food. We charged a $20 admission fee, did a 50/50 draw, and had a donation jar. In the end we exceeded our expectations and raised over $1100!

The money raised will help out pets looking for their furever home like these:

Surrogate mom to three one-week old babies

Squeaky, one my favourites who I've been walking every Saturday for over a year
